North Flume Trail

Snowflake Lodge is at the top of the Lakeview Ski Lift at Diamond Peak Ski Area.  Great views of the lake from the lodge.

Type: Out-and-Back, unless you do it as a loop, or access North Flume  or Rim Trails

Trailhead: Take Ski Way off NV28 to Diamond Peak Ski Area.  Park in the upper lot behind the main lodge.

Trail: Walk around the lodge to the ski slopes.  Follow the service road up the mountain to Snowflake Lodge.  Be sure to bear right at the Crystal Express Ski Lift.

Alternative Trail: At the Snowflake Lodge, make it a loop by heading on down the G.S. ski slope, bearing left over into the woods.  It's bushwacking, but the woods have been cleaned out and the going is easy, although steep.  Go all the way down to the lower Ski Way parking lots.

Biking: Little tough riding up, but fun coming down.  This is also access to both the North Flume and Rim Trails.

Distance: 1.0 mi one way to the lodge

2.1 mi as a loop past the lodge

Change in Elevation:  800'

Flowers: Daisies and Buttercups

Trees: Jeffrey Pines, White Fir, Red Fir
